I have a 15 year-old daughter who was eligible for Medicaid but somehow lost it. Her father was supposed to provide child support but because he didn't, she lost out. She is insulin resistant and has a high potential for diabetes, as well as an ovarian disease. For the ovarian condition we can go to the free clinic and for other specialists some doctors will waive certain fees, but all that will be lost at 19 because of sliding scale eligibility requirements.
